What does a Medical Assistant do?
Medical Assistants assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician and a Nurse practitioner. They interview patients, measure vital signs and record. Medical Assistant also prepare treatment rooms and may be required to draw and collect blood samples, or urine samples. They also prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and as a medical Assistant you can administer oral medication or injection
How much does a medical Assistant Make?
In USA and Canada, medical Assistants make $20- $26 per hour.
Do you need any prior Medical Training ?
No. Becoming a certified medical Assistant only requires you to have WAEC or NECO to enroll for the program.
